Amy is a RYT - 500 with a certification through Jennifer Prugh’s YA Certified “Joy of Yoga” Teacher Training.
A dancer in her youth, Track and Field athlete through College, nothing has come close to the balancing integration of mind, body, and spirit like Yoga! The practice has gifted her with tools for coping w/anxiety and a condition effecting balance, Meniere’s Disease.
Amy teaches Vinyasa, Yin, Gentle, and Kundalini; All with an emphasis on transitions, pranayama, strength and alignment. She is a life-lover, grateful for the layers of depth that Yoga continues to provide. Her teachers have changed her life, and she’s thrilled to have the opportunity to pay some of that forward! When not doing Yoga, you can find Amy with her family, gardening, and creating art.
The most personal growth she’s experienced has taken course over her 12 year discovery of Yoga and new found home in it. The depths and rewards of the yoga practice astound and excite Amy, and she revels in the knowledge that her dedication to its studies will never end.
She guides students though thoughtful cues to help them better understand their proprioception, balance, and alignment, all while tying in yoga philosophies via readings, poems, and imagery.
Her hope is to bring more balance, peace, joy, and inner knowledge to the lives of students.
